the state is widening the tunnel at I 70 just before idaho springs. they have built a side road to bypass the hwy and are making an access rd to the main hwy so begin blasting.
So probably alot of new material will be in the river there or near by. Might talk to Cdot to ask permission to be anywhere near the main blasting areas.
as you drive down the hwy you can see where people have detected precious metals and dug small holes into the canyon face on either side of the hwy. So maybe there will be something to find there.
