I was at some friends house. They are hard-core liberal democrats. Their young daughter comes over and says she wants to be president. I asked what would you do if you were president? She said "I'd give all the homeless people a new house." Wow, I thought. Then I said "I have an idea. You come over to my house and mow my lawn, pull the weeds, and clean up the yard and I'll give you $50. Then I'll give you a ride to the grocery store where the homeless guy hangs out and you can give him the $50 to put down towards a new house." She thought about it for a minute then said "Why don't you just get the homeless guy to do the work and you can pay HIM the $50?" I said "Welcome to the Republican party!" Her parents haven't spoken to me since.
