Outhouse

Some of you young'ens may not understand this one.


Ma was in the kitchen fiddlin' around when she hollers, "Pa! You need to go out and fix the outhouse!!"

Pa replies, "There ain't nuthin wrong with the outhouse!"

Ma yells back, "Yes there is. Now git out there an fix it!"

So Pa mosies out to the outhouse, looks around and yells back, "Ma! There ain't nuthin wrong with
this outhouse!"

Ma replies, "Stick your head in the hole!"

Pa replies, "I ain't stickin my head in that hole!"

Ma says, "Ya have to stick your head in the hole to see what to fix!"

So, with that, Pa sticks his head in the hole, looks around and yells back, "Ma! There ain't nuthin
wrong with this outhouse!"

And Ma hollers back, "Now take your head out of the hole!"

Pa proceeds to pull his head out of the hole, then starts yellin, "Ma! Help! My beard is stuck in
the cracks in the toilet seat!"

To which Ma replies, "Hurts, don't it?!"

Cracks in the seat and wasps that stung the "taint" are two of the primary reasons ladies demanded
indoor plumbing .

Yup, maybe the next time Ma tells him something needs fixing, he will jump to do it. But, then again, Pa is
kind of hard headed and a little slow sometimes at getting things done, so it's hard to say for sure. What will
probably happen, is that he won't let Ma use him to prove that it needs doing.
