Mexico was hit by an earthquake registering 8.2 on the Richter scale. There was massive devistation, 2 million died and 1 million were injured. The Mexican government was desperately asking for any help. Canada sent troops in to help quell the riots, Saudia Arabia sent oil and gasoline for rescue work, the other Latin countries sent in food and supplies. Europe (except for France) sent medical supplies and doctors. The U.S. had to do something for their support, so they sent 11 million replacement Mexicans.
