FRACKVILLE - West Mahanoy Township police said a man impersonating a pizza delivery person attempted to rob someone at Rodeway Inn, at 5:26 p.m. Monday.

Police said the impersonator shoved the man as he opened the door and demanded his money, and as the resident went for a gun, the impersonator stole it and fled on foot.

The victim wished not to be identified.

The impersonator was described as a white male, between 5 foot 7 inches and 5 foot 9 inches in height, weighed about 180 pounds, was wearing a red sweatshirt and did not have any identifiable facial hair, scars, marks or tattoos.

The firearm stolen was a model 38 Smith & Wesson revolver. Anyone with information is asked to call West Mahanoy Township police

thats why you never hold a gun -way out in front of you in a close quarters fight -- so the prep can grab it and take it and use it on you (nothing sadder than having your own gun taken from you and used to shoot you with) -- you can use one hand (stiff arm style) to hold off the prep at chest level and gut shoot the perp by holding the gun down by your hip and firing--thus keeping the gun out of the perps reach * guns are "projectile throwing" devices -- the extra couple feet the bullet has to cross from being shot from the hip vs being held at arms length in front of you to get to the prep is no big deal .
