22-year-old Kenneth Hast of Shawneetown has been sentenced to five years in prison after pleading guilty to charges he used duct tape to tie up his four-year-old stepson because he wouldn't stop sucking his bottom lip. Hast entered an open guilty plea Monday to charges of aggravated domestic battery and aggravated battery of a child. Hast was arrested on December 19, 2010. The child was treated and released at a local hospital.
