Yuck! The founding fathers would've despised our current coin designs. They spent their greatest moments trying to escape British rule--and they wanted Liberty on the coins instead of a figure--living or dead--like the King George coins...
Hey Jeff, Could you be thinking the Jackson coin looks like Jim Ignatowski from Taxi? I got the Washington rolls but am skipping the rest. The dollars unfortunately come in the proof sets and uncirculated so I can't totally avoid them. I hope those ugly things never catch on in this country. I went shopping in Canada and the pounds of change with the loonies and toonies kept weighing my pants down.
there still worthless coated zinc pieces of junk -- no matter who's face you stamp on em and what they look like -- worth less than 6 cents of metal value per dollar sad very sad -- I miss the days of "real" silver money -- if we had kept to the silver standard our money would be worth something today look at the price of silver -- guess what the silver value of two 40% silver halves are today -- thats why our money is tanking --nothing is backing it -- its simply "worthless" paper -- good to wipe with and not much esle---sad really very sad ---don't even get me started on the worthless zinc cent --- Ivan
