After their baby was born, the panicked father went to see the

Obstetrician. "Doctor," the man said, "I don't mind telling you, but I'm

a little upset because my daughter has red hair.

She can't possibly be mine." "Nonsense," the doctor said.

"Even though you and your wife both have black hair, one of your

ancestors may have contributed red hair to the gene pool."

"It isn't possible," the man insisted. "This can't be, our families

on both sides had jet-black hair for generations."

"Well," said the doctor, "let me ask you this. How often do you have

sex?"

The man seemed a bit ashamed. "I've been working very hard for the

past year. We only made love once or twice every few months."

"Well, there you have it!" The doctor said confidently.

"It's rust."

I was very worried about your title Gypsy when I first looked at it.

"Where do Red haired Babies come from?"

I was going to PM you and say: The same place all babies come from.

But now I think I know what you mean.

Most red haired babies come from northern Michigan. The mantle was passed to us from Ireland back sometime in the late 1800's.

It's easy to distinguish Michigan readheads from the purebred Ireland strain. Our redheads usually lose half their teeth by age 20. Oh, and by that time they're at least 50 lbs overweight.

Hope this helps.

A question for all of you in the know...

Who in their lifetime has ever seen a brown eyed redhead?

Think about it
In my entire life I have only met two...
and almost maried one.

I don't know if it is still a fact but about 1 in every 12,000 red heads has brown eyes.
at least that's what the statistic used to be.
I haven't looked in a long time though.

We always knew you were a rare one Jeff.

LOL

I'll take that as a compliment, thank you very much- ;) :D

You're right, you don't meet too many that have brown eyes. Me and my folks and sisters all have the brown eyes. My cousins on the other hand, have the green or hazel.

Hey Kiesser,

It is a proven fact that if you don't have kids
Your kids won't have any either.

LOL

Just enjoy the kids you have,
Don't worry about hair, Time will solve that problem.
