    OLD MYSTIC CONNECTICUT TRIP

I ran into an old gym buddy of mine and was explaining the hobby to him. After showing him some of my older stuff and a bag full of jewelry, he was hooked. We went out for about an hour and hit a beach near his house. He was using my son's ACE and I was using my x-50. When we went home, he tallied up his finds and found almost $2 in clad. He then went on to give me permission to hunt his house in Old Mystic Connecticut that dates back to 1756. After heavy rains, they have turned up buttons and silver on the surface. We'll be going up this weekend to swing our coils. I am going to borrow my buddy's V3 for the trip. I can't wait to see what's beneath the surface in this previously unhunted site.

Does anybody know of any good spots in the area that have some history? I know that there was a war going on in that region in the early 1800s. Any info would be appreciated. I figure we would hit the house on Saturday and maybe spend Sunday doing another site to find some bullets and whatnot.
