New to MDing home based in Naugatuck

Grew up on the beach and always watched people doing this! Now that the kids are grown I can finally participate in activities that I am interested in.
So far have found some not too old coins along the Naugatuck river and Farmington river (Hubby fly fishes here). The bottom bowl part of a (silver?) spoon at a ball field and a full (silver?) spoon at the beach.
I've been doing some historical research online for Naugatuck seeing as how it's where I currently live. Anyone know about town ordinances here or harassment issues from authorities?
