Help In CT
I am new to and interested in MDing. I live in Ct but not from here so I am not too familiar with where to go. I have recently bought an Ace 250 after reading some posts here suggesting a good inexpensive detector to start with. Did a little poking around my yard and managed to find a brass skeleton key and alot of iron. I am still trying to learn how to use the machine. If anyone is interested in meeting up and giving a little guidance I would be most appreciative. I live close to Mohegan Sun and work in Groton but am willing to travel (a little) if needed. Again thanks for any help.
When I came to the crossroads I chose the path most travelled, figuring I'd find more treasure.

Re: Help In CT
Is nobody willing to help the new guy? I am finding this hard to believe. But I suppose anything is possible.

Re: Help In CT
Welcome!
There are two metal detecting clubs that I know of (I cannot comment on how far the drive is, because, imo, every place in Ct. is kind of a short drive).
Here ya go!

http://www.noreasters.net/
The second one is kinda cool, cause they also deal with actual historical finds.

Re: Help In CT
Danny, check out the N'easters link. They have a meeting Feb 8. Can you get
transportation down and back?
Any TH'ers in Bridgeport out there? Give Danny a hand. He needs a buddy to
detect with. Since he doesn't drive maybe he can chip in for gas.
I'm in Texas so that leaves me out. There's got to be somebody detecting in
Bridgeport that could use another set of eyes and likes hunting in pairs.
