    nice find, did you find it near a waterway? what kind of signal did it give? how deep down? I'm a novice so any guidance you can give would be much appreciated. Thanks for posting, its always exciting to see something new.

    Pretty sure what you have there would be considered a fish hook. Lots of examples out there that look just like that, in fact I think most larger fish hooks were square or round awls that were just bent.

    Hey Jack I think that last post is correct, I think you have a fish hook,"still a GREAT find. I found a picture on this web page that shows a fish hook that looks just like yours, check it out
