I had been detecting near a old resort finding tons of coins and a couple of rings, after a few hours I decided it was time to come home. While walking towards my truck I noticed I had left my head lights on and they were dim. I got in turned the key AND nothing! So I called my wife and asked her to come and give me a jump. While I was waiting I decided to hunt this one little area that I had been wanting to hunt, after a few minutes I got a very deep copper signal and out came this awsome point. It measures 5 1/4 inches long and 1 3/4 inches wide

Very nice copper point. a rare bit of copper culture. did you go back and hunt around the area near where you found this?

Yeah I hunted it pretty hard and didnt come up with anything else, must have been a hunt drop

I'm really fascinated by this, and I've seen very little of copper culture articles. Is this authentic? What makes me wonder is, being a resort area, could it be an antique souvenir?

I'm sure that one of the local experts can elaborate on this find.

Anyway, congratulations! I'd be flipping out to find that!
