A CVS register log

I work part-time as a supervisor at CVS. Originally it was just a job to put on a resume when I graduate, but it turns out to have been a great source for my coin collection. Until a month ago I'd grab whatever caught my eye whenever a drawer opened. Since then my manager became aware of my interest in coins and showed me his collection and also let me know I can be more "thorough" in my search, especially when counting cash at the end of the night.

It helps that the town has an older population.

2/4:
1941 cent
1898 5 Centavos

2/7: (Found in same roll)
1941 nickel
1943 nickel
1945 nickel
1947 nickel

2/8:
1941 penny
1941 nickel (Same drawer as previous night)

I'll keep an ongoing log of what I find. In the ten months I've been there I've found a couple rolls of bicentennial quarters, four rolls of wheats (one of 1910s and 1920s), a small handful of silver Kennedy halves and Eisenhowers, and another handful of mixed foreign coins. Oh, and a couple of silver certificates, a 1950 $10, and a 1971 (I think) $20.

Do you know that the 1943 and 1945S nickels are 35% silver? Im looking forward to seeing what you can pull out of circulation.

To be honest, until that night when I got home I thought the older nickels had silver in them like the larger coins.

2/9: Bust, even bought a roll of dimes on my way out.

2/11:
1937 cent
1943 P nickel
1976 quarter
Traded in Sunday's roll for another. See what I can find tonight.

Sure doing good finding silver nickels....esp with the low volume u seem to search. That's a nice plus to having a retail job. :)

I've been especially lucky since these were almost all found at a quick glance when providing backup. Haven't had an opportunity this week to take my time counting cash and going through all of the change.

1964 cent (relatively uncirculated, probably replace a booked one)
2006 Bahamas cent
1946 nickel
1959 nickel
