Here is the new log for everyone who saves & stacks the 2009 coins, P & D, (cents-4varieties, nickels, dimes), along with box or bag source. My first entry:

Strange that I'm seeing more of the "D" coins, rather than the "P" that has more mintage quantities produced.

I can't remember the last time I found an 09. I mostly search nickels and I find way more war nickels than 2009's.

I'll be posting some lengthy numbers soon on the 2009 dimes, and it looks like the 2009-P are drying up fast.

Got a $50 bag of cents on Friday, went through it watching fireworks on TV last night with the following results. Found 21-wheaties, about 18% coppers, and 2009 mixes of: P. D

Var 3. 22. 4
Var 4. 2. 4
Appears that the "D"s are a little less abundant especially. Anyone else seeing the same signs? I'll continue cents log over time to see if changes take place. No heated discussions please, I enjoy passing my time away with this hobby.

Appears that my findings of "2009-P"s are few & between from what the "D"s & Rosie's are coming across with as shown.
Could they be the future 'SLEEPERS'?

Have hunted relentlessly for any and all 2009's.............box after box after.............and have been reduced to purchasing them from my LCS to complete grandkids cent and nickel collections.........still need a 2009D to complete my own Dansco Rosie set............
I have accumulated a fair number of the cents but, they are incomplete sets...........usually missing the "D"s..............and most are in poor condition.......
Only have found 4 2009 P nickels and same number of dimes..............

Finding fewer & fewer 2009 dimes in each box I check. I think the AG SKUNKS are eating all 2009's since it appears they have devoured all traces of silver coins, they need something else to fill their appetite.

Went through a $50 bag of cents: goodly amount of wheaties 52, only about 15% coppers, but only 24 of the 2009 cents broken down as:
Var 1, 6-P, 1-D
Var 2, 4-P, 2-D
Var 3, 7-P, 1-D
Var 4, 3-P, 0-D
Regardless of what others say about the 2009 mintage numbers, I still contend that they will eventually become sleepers in years to come. The D cents are still showing low results and getting harder to find in the open.
PS: besides only the 15% coppers, there was an extreme amount (guess about 50) of very clean AU-BU cents ranging from about 1968-1974. These will go very well in my 12-grandkids folders.

Although the "D's" appear strong, the "P's" are very low in the findings. Is anyone else seeing just the opposite? Still contend that all 2009 coinages will eventually become "sleepers".

I still firmly believe that the 2009 P-mint dimes are going to become a sleeper keeper to watch out for in many years to come (naturally long after I'm gone from this earth). Unless any of you guys East of the Mississippi River are seeing more P's then I am pulling. Comments?

I am west coast and I am also looking for the elusive 2009P dime. I am having the same issue with nickels.

Although I only search cents & dimes, I'm sure that the 2009 nickels are just as difficult to find in the wild; comments from you nickel hunters?
