This week I only managed to scrounge up:

$30 loose halves = Skunked

$50 CW dimes = skunked

I hit 9 banks looking for halves and I think someone else was 1 day ahead of me.

Hello all, I decided to start keeping track in public. I've been getting more serious now that i'm logging many miles driving my youngest to college.

I finally got a bank to order me a box:

Box #1: 2 - 40%

Welcome fellow Washingtonian! Best of luck to you! I hope your youngest is going to Wazzu! Great find on the '73 Ike!

Thank-you, Zomotion. My youngest is currently doing Running Start at the local community college, when they finish high school they will also have an Associates of Science in Biology. The plan is then to transfer to a 4 year college, they would prefer to attend Wazzu, but I am hoping they go to UW: Tacoma as it is within commuting distance.

Best of luck to wherever your youngest decides! That might have been me beating you to the halves :laughing7: I work in Tacoma and live nearby! Maybe I'll run into you at a bank soon :icon_thumright: If you ever want to meet up for a coffee and discuss the hobby I'm all for it.

I managed to find:

$213 CWR halves - 1 40% 1967

$14 in Ikes - 1 1974-S clad

Not as nice as my 1973 silver, but worth a bit over face

I really don't think you found a 1956 and 1958 S. I take it that's a typo.

Welcome to being part of a great hobby MOG! Seems like you're doing well starting out.

I hunted that part of the world 2 years ago, along I-5 between Seattle and Portland. I suggest that you go to Centralia off of I-5 as well as call around the casinos near Olympia, Tacoma and points south. These are all places I didn't have time to go to myself but had some promise. Even though they had some evidence of CRH activity, other indicators pointed to them having potential.

My score on that trip was a 1/2 roll of 40%'s and 90%'s (including 2 Franklins) that was part of $90 in Customer Rolls I bought off a bank near the Space Needle at Seattle. I took a tourist break to get some rolls and it paid off.

HH - Let us know how it all goes

Thank-you, Buchsy for the tips. I have done a bit of hunting in Olympia & as far north as Sea-Tac, when on other trips.

Last 2 boxes of 2016;

Halves Box #6 - Skunked

Halves Box #7 - 2 40%ers

Nice way to close out the year. I plan on doing a final count & post hopefully with photos sometime today when I'm more caffeinated and less hung-over.

2016 totals with photo

I have gotten behind on this thread.

2016 inaugural year totals for silvers:

3 - Ben Franklins
22 - 1964s
11 - 1966
33 - 1967
18 - 1968
12 - 1969
1 - 1973 Ike proof

IMG_1095.jpg

I was unable to find any quarters, but I didn't search more than $500 CWRs.
I'm kind of surprised I didn't find any dimes. I searched 3 MWR boxes & $500 in CWRs.

I did search a 4 penny boxes & at least $100 CWRs & it netted me 107 wheats.

CWR - $190 - skunk

Halves box #5 - 1 - 1968
Halves box #6 - skunk

Nickels box #1 - 1- 1939, 2- 1940, 1- 1941, 2- 1942 (not war nickel:thumb_down:), 1- 1946, 2- 1947

I have a feeling my order is going to be late this week, everyone here is losing their minds. We got 12+ inches in one go & we rarely have more than an inch or 2.
