Some oddities this week, including my first holed penny. Two possible heavy struck-through-grease as well... or maybe they're just abraded.

    Penny Box #105 (2500 pennies)

    406 copper (16.24%)

    7 Wheaties (1944, 1946S, 1952D, 1953, 1955, 1955D, 1958D)

2 errors/oddities (major grease strike (or abraded..), 1971D holed penny)

    13 Canadians (1941, 1964, 1968, 1971, 1975, 1976, 1981, 1988, 1997, 1999, 2000 X2)

    12 2009 commemorative

    Other Notes: unknown wheatie ender

This possible greaser especially is missing a lot of design bits, on both sides.

Several very early date wheaties, including one possibly very good one that I just can't get a reliable date off of. Most of the time, I think I see an 8. Anybody know any reliable ways to get dates off difficult coins (mainly copper)?

I've started feeling like I'm finding more greasers than I should (something like 5 or 6 so far this year).. I need to make a mental note to do some research on possible more-common alternatives. I keep all my oddities in any case, they can be re-examined dozens of times in coming years as experience grows if need be.

A bit low on Wheaties this week but I suppose that is fair after last week's box. Fingers crossed for some higher numbers next week.

No pictures for the next week or so, cats gone and broke my camera. New one on the way.
Pretty nice to see my second boxed Indian head cent ever, even if it is beat up pretty badly. It really looks like it went through a woodchipper or something, massive gouges across both sides, partly bent over. I can't even imagine how it made it through a coin counter. Still good to see. One more and it'll be a new record for a year!

Bit of a lackluster week, we've all been there. Next week's boxes are better, promise
I've also started metal detecting (finally!), which is cutting a fair bit into CRH time. Might reduce weekly boxes soon.

April 21th - April 27th Coin Hunting Results

Decent box of nickels, another state counterstamp, 'new' oldest Canadian penny, and my first silver half. Now if only every week were like this.
I did lose the data for box #126. Finished the box, entered the data, put the coins away. Went back to the computer to save the text file and a different program caused the computer to shutdown. Data re-entered is a guess, but should be reasonably accurate.
