I have them both used them both extensivley.

Both very good machines. 3030 much more stable in all types of soil conditions. Nox much faster though and lighter but noisier. Found alot of coins with the Nox in well hunted areas.

Im finding items with the vanquish that the 3030 and nox have both left behind. You just cant get it all. They all perform differently and all will get you something out of pounded sites.

Try approaching a coin on edge from one direction and then 90 degrees out and you will likely see that you miss the coin in one orientation. Set out a nickel, penny, dime and quarter in a straight line and about two inches apart. Take your nox and set Sensitivity at 23 or higher so you have random noise but hopefully better depth. Run it across the coins and I think you will see how you might miss them unless you are right on top of them. All these things affect what you dig if both detectors you are testing have a DD coil. A mono or dual field on a pi will be different.
