From the picture it looks like it is wrapped in plastic so if it was wrapped by it's self in air tight plastic i do not see how it would help with moisture ... But i could be wrong ..

on one of the videos I can't re-find there was mentioned some type of conditioner for the rubber seal.
So i thought perhaps that was it, But if it is, the Container would need to be Cut in half.
It is not a screw top of Flip Top container . Plus I see on the Pick above a tube, Which is probably the conditioner.
it also feels like Plastic & has no air Holes I can find :dontknow:
I thought Desiccants must breath

Correction: where it says 2.4g it feels like cardboard.

so I'm going to take for granted they are Extra Precautions in case water seeps in the battery compartment

Be careful with that stretchy cord and plastic clip from the factory. My clip broke and the spring popped out the very first time I accidentally over stretched the thing.

After that happened I bought a really nice long, heavy lanyard and a heavy metal carabiner that hooks to my belt loop (or anywhere else).
It really works great and should never wear out. It's a great improvement.

Hi Jeff,

The white pad is for moisture absorbing when store for long period.
The only thing you need to do before diving is make sure turn to battery cap tight.
Some extreme diver use it with no problem.

Thank you, mine arrived today. My first pinpointer, its really a cool product. Nicely packaged and I like those end caps to protect it. Thank you again.

Thanks for the update Jeff! I too agree that noise cancel on the SEP and ground balancing the pointer might help the chatter. Thanks for sharing.
