So a lot of people have been asking about my video of the Quest Pro and if the Lower coil shaft had flex on it or was it just my camera angle. So I decided to make a video of a quick demonstration. You guys can decide for yourself.

On another note, Does lower coil shaft flex really matter to people that much? I had never personally had an issue with it. I never broke a coil shaft or anything. The way I look at it if it flexes I get like an extra inch or two of ground coverage. Why is flex becoming such a big deal? Am I missing something?

If you guys have a question about this machine feel free to ask. I am trying to stay positive as I don't want all the drama. Thx

It may flex slightly to protect the coil from chipping it you accidentally hit a hard immovable object.

I see on your other Vid where you tweaked it to get it working that Teng Jason asked you send it back and get a replacement,
Think that will happen?!?

Well I am over the stress that Deteknix has caused me and not trying to be negative but unfortunately, No I do not think that will happen. I asked him before I released the original videos for a working unit and he got frustrated with me, I am not sure why but he did. However I shared a video with him personally of the machine doing the same thing as shown and was told to set my discrimination higher. After I released the original videos I got blamed for it but now that I found a hidden menu and got it working a bit I am not to blame anymore, go figure. I had asked multiple times for a working model to review.

As excited as I was to receive this machine I want it out of my sight and after the last set of threats which I had forwarded to my attorney. I do not think Deteknix will be contacting me anymore.
If however a new working machine shows up at my studio I will still give it a fair review based on the unit I receive.

On a positive note I went out yesterday with the Deus and the Diamond Digger and I have to say the digger is pretty awesome! I was able to saw through a root and all with it. I was also digging in heavy rock and it held up quite well! Unfortunate about the bad experience I have had but I will still use the digger. So far so good! I will probably post follow up videos of it as well. Oh yeah the hat is also a very nice hat and I don't normally wear the strap backs but I do like it much.

The lower flex does not seem to be a big deal to me on this or any other machine and not sure why it is becoming a concern recently either.

I wish Jason the best in his venture as he has a great idea and a machine that has a sweet cool factor in today's world of metal detecting, I would however suggest a office manager or communication specialist and also pay attention to what his testers tell him...No hard feelings overall no matter how much like a crab I look ;)

Well a large number of Quest have finally arrived in the UK this week and it will interesting to see how folks get long with it.

I dont expect it to match my XP Deus which I have used for well over 6 years.

Meanwhile it keeps this old fella firing on all cylinders while sitting in Gods waiting room.:icon_thumright: Jerry.

The Deus is a tough machine to beat and from what I have seen the Quest can not touch it. The biggest gold I ever found was with the Deus. As for the Quest unfortunately it is dealers who got them and will only reveal the positives. I can not even get Deteknix to let me send this one back as I am not sending it to china at my expense. I hope they have good luck with theirs though. ON a plus note while searching for a spot to fix the faulty coil on the Deus I came across a place that only repairs Fisher and Deus in the next city over so if my Deus ever fails I have somewhere to bring it but I do not see that happening any time soon.

To be fair the Deus and the Quest are two totally different machines with 2 totally different prices.

I don't blmane MDG... BUT keep in mind this a BETA PRODUCT. The review you gave is very valuable for a manufacturer and gives a precious help for finishing a prduct before GA.

I think MDG you couldn't have a worse sample in hand.

When you receive a BETA VERSION of a machine next time and you push videos on youtub were you make money with adsens (google ads)... mention is BETA. Whatever the result, keep in mind there was/is a large amount of work done by dedicated humans behind a product, and bashing is very easy, took you just a few minutes to ruins years of hard work.

Again QUEST is NOT GA. I have personnaly mentionned in private that QUEST was not ready...

You did a great job MDG, just pushing your video public without mentionning BETA would have been better..and all this for a few 100s views....

Deteknix had over 6 month between what you appears "Full Production" and product GA. Call them like you want, if you can't buy them = BETA

What is the Goal to bash a product that you don't have and that you haven't test? MDG spent a least some of his time on it... but did you ?

When did I bash the product and are you saying the test unit MDG used was 6 months old?

It is not so much the "looks" of the units as to what is "inside". I am not taking a side as I do not yet have enough information, but if the software is a pirated T2 or some other detecting company's product, it seems as these show up on US soil Fisher or whomever can get them seized. Still trying to figure out for sure if these are manufactured off shore and then assembled here??

But I think you missed that I actually was referring to the other thread as a joke that I thought was hilarious at the time, but would ruffle feathers as a result.

I apologize as I shouldnt have said it.

I did view the flex shaft, I did not see the alpha shaft, beta shaft, or GA shaft at all. I however did note that a very good member got a bit of the same terminology on his report for his findings.

In this review video of the Quest, the guy runs into a stubborn shrub at 7:30 into the video. As he hits the shrub there isn't much give on the shaft, but enough to let him know not to try to use the shaft as a lever.

Thats what I have said elsewhere the shaft is excellent.

If the user has a floppy one just rub it with some stuff called Viagra.

Problem solved.:laughing7: Jerry.

T2 software = classic stuff? - considering the menu system looks more like a Racer -
