Thats a shame as its just opposite to some other reviews and lasts for about 16 minutes.

The machine was totally stable and its a shame for some folks to think otherwise.

Funny old week for metal detecting in the UK as Minelab have pulled out of their Ireland headquarters. :dontknow: Jerry.

You don't have to join Youtube to watch videos.

I kinda get the feeling that the one negative Quest review I saw recently is about to be attacked by a lynching mob.

Great video.... Let me tell you what I learned.... I suck.
My hunt was loud, erratic, and off target.... All on me.
I am chopping at the bit to get out there again tomorrow.... I like how he set the machine up completely different than
I did...have to try that.:laughing7:

If you have the internet and can post here...you have Youtube. Pretty simple stuff. Don't watch it if you don't want too...nobody asked for you video watching preferences.

Here is the video for those interested....

NO...not at all...
The machine I got is solid.

Problem is, I am not a "professional" in the sense that I got years of experience with lots of different machines.
I need to learn the unit, it will take more than 3 or 4 hours to do so.

My new toy has no issues, other than operator inexperience.

+1 for the screen orientation, needs to be slightly modified

Yes, it could be offset at an angle so that it can be seen better, but its not impossible to read/see...
just takes getting used to.

If I were to offer any constructive concerns regarding comfort, it would pertain to the armcuff...
I got these Popeye forearms thanks to my career, and it is a pretty tight fit. Adjusting the control panel makes it better, but then my thumb suddenly becomes too big and long to program the machine. Solution is to use the adjustable Velcro strap, included with the Quest Pro (comes with an extra just in case). While that is available on many units, I am not used to using it, and I need to wiggle out of it, and put the detector down, while not losing sight of the dig spot.

+1 BWD... there a need of a mix between CTX and Deus style for the harmcuff

The comments with regards the arm rest are valid, the simple solution is to place a second larger one in the box for the guys with bigger forearms and also for a user thats wearing extra thick winter clothing.

Simple to solve now that Jason is aware.

Happy Hunting,

Jerry.
