CD,
Good for you.. giving that token to the land owner.
It shows we are not all takers, but givers too.

Should have snapped a few pics and recorded it though.
Some of those tokens are rarer than some of the other relics you find....

Just a thought...

Yep I didn't think much about it at the time. I get keyed in on military buttons and that day that is what I was after. It didn't happen but I was in a spot where it could.

Hello Cabalash, I see your vids on YouTube a lot and find it help full and entertaining. I wanted to see if you have any advice on a program for the XP DEUS for wet beach detecting. I have used your programs and seem to work well but get some chatter still. If you have a video or make a video I think you are the person for this since you have a wealth of knowledge and your own test garden to work with. Thanks in advanced, take care and happy hunting.

Thanks for the hand off, Scott. I'll take it from here. Yes, sir, the best program I have found for wet salt beach is the Equinox. Just kidding (but not really) - wet salt beach is not the ideal environment for the Deus or any single frequency VLF machine for that matter, it does chatter a lot but there are some things you can do to get some recoveries. First, if you are in a wet salt sand, then you want to use Beach GB (or start with the Wet Beach preloaded program which is basically just Deus Fast with Beach GB setting) which will help with some of the falsing as you can balance better at the lower ground phase reading of salt sand. Lower transmit power to TX1 if you can (not an option if using the HF coil). That being said, the HF coil tends to do better in wet salt sand, experiment with both with the entire frequency range to see what works best and lower sensitivity to reduce the chatter to the extent you can. If you have black sand mixed in then you are going to have to make a decision because you will be caught between the low balance of salt and the high balance of black sand mineralization. The Deus does not have continuous range ground balancing it can only handle salt ground or neutral to high mineralized ground. Black sand and salt sand are challenge that is primarily solved by multifrequency machines. You are going to trade off some depth to get the chatter down, that is just the nature of the business and is the reason why I leave the Deus in the car and grab the Equinox when beach hunting unless I am solely hunting on dry sand. Right tool for the job. HH.
