Yes sir... but you could also run it at whatever frequency you want... 14.4 or 54 depending on what type of hunting your doing and what coil your using

Calabash, what did you learn that prompted you to tweak disc down to 7.5. Thx.

He learned that he wanted to hear 7.6 and up. Haha

Funny, I appreciate the humor, iffy, but it is a serious question and here's why:

You can hear everything regardless of where you set discrimination by using iron volume. The key to setting discrimination properly is not about blanking ferrous or hearing more, but how you can use the discrimination filter to counter the effects of ferrous down and up averaging of non-ferrous targets as use of discrimination in the pitch program is primarily about enabling you to be able to unmask non-ferrous targets from ferrous. By setting disc lower more ferrous targets will sound off as non-ferrous pitch squeals, so I was wondering why Calabash tweaked it. If it is set too high legit non-ferrous targets may sound like iron plus the strength of the disc filter at higher settings could affect overall detection depth (though that notion is subject to debate as some very successful Deus users on this forum have sworn by very high disc settings >> 20 (as opposed to using notch) to cherry pick high conductors in trashy parks and state that depth is unaffected). Calabash doesn't tweak his settings merely for grins and giggles there is usually a very good reason, like he found flaw or missed a target as a result of the previous settings. I would like to know what it is so I can avoid any downside he may have discovered.

Still a funny quip, tho.

I tweaked it because of advice TNSHARPSHOOTER gave me. He did different testing with the higher and lower disc . He found the machine missed a few with the higher disc setting. I have had good results with it at 7.5.

Again, I love your videos and this program. It's a great starting point that I may or may not tweak as I go. I assume it is best to run it about 25khz using the X35 coil. Thats what I will start with tomorrow hunting in a sugarcane field that has a lot of nail blips.

The coil and program performed amazingly! Coming from a 11" LF coil I was amazed at the separation and the extremely small targets it sniffed out 4 and 5 inches deep! these little lead balls were every bit of 1/8 of an inch and they would nearly blow my phones off!
And it found silver on the first outing! Pretty little religious medallion! x353.jpg x352.jpg x351.jpg

Hey Wassup guys! 😊
Today i used this program on a Roman area! I found out that Roman Slag sound very good! (But no ID). And when I changed to another mode, it would sound like ferrous🤔
The slag I'm talking about, it's from the iron that they used to work with! We talking about slags with 2000 years...

Best regards
