Got out to a farmers corn field yesterday. It was dry enough, finally, but still had 2 foot tall corn stalks to work around. Great to get out tho. Din't find anything too fantastic but but I like all the "relics". Blob top bottle top, pottery a plenty, pocket watch plate, broken drawer handle, curtain weight, 2 pewter broken handle pieces, I actually like the small square nail, and the J. Wutz 5 pickers token. I think the little thing on the lower right with the "ears" is a bale seal but not sure. I also like the little ornate buckle, not sure what it might have been used for bit it's neat. Ya just have to wonder what it was like living there in the 1840's.

Boy I could hunt a place like that all day...

You know. Sometimes it’s just nice to get out and enjoy the day. I don’t mind having a day like you just had. I like the pottery. Congrats

looks like it has two people on it, with a raised arm on the right side. I clicked on it four or five times, you can see it better

it's a St. Christopher metal. On the front it says: St. Christopher be my guide. and on the back it says: On Land - On Sea In the Air Hold us safe. With a plane on top and sea water on the bottom.

That's the one I was wondering about. The St. Christopher
The other I know is a hem/curtain weight.
Thanks

Pottery really helps date a site like this. The white with blue and lines is about 1830-40 or so. The blue and white "spongewear" was popular about 1870-1890.
