So I’m not sure how to look at this; did the shield nickel cause the Barber dimes to down average, or did the Barber dimes cause the shield nickel to up average? At any rate, these three coins were stacked right on top of each other about 7 inches down in the hole.

The TID was a solid 80 in 12 kHz so I was thinking wheat penny all day long. Boy was I surprised!

awesome on those coins and probably so on the signal reading like it did with them being together like that. just another reason to dig to see what it really is. love those kind of surprises

Yep, why I don't ever notch high conductors. I'll dig zincolns all day long just in case.

The Nickel is the wild card pulling things down. If it had only been one dime the average would have been even lower. From what I have seen a nickel will always dominate.
