Aftermarket Coil Charging Clip

Has anyone tried any of the aftermarket coil charging clips that are out there? I am thinking about purchasing one of the ones that Detecting Doodads offers, but wanted to get some opinions first. I love the Deus, but I'm starting to wonder if the same guys who designed the Ford Pinto also designed the coil charging clip on the Deus!

Watching this thread.
I have used my Deus 3 times and attempted to charge the coil twice. The first time was a bit challenging but it worked; tonight I found it very hard to get a good connection and finally had to put pressure on the clip to the side to get the solid light.
Poor design, and I look forward to hearing what others have to say about after-market clips.

I have two of the Detecting Doodads clips. Work great for me.. I no longer use the XP 3/8 Octopus wire at all.

I have a DooDad's clip. I keep it around as spare after Deus (begrudgingly) sent me a replacement. Not sure why I don't use it regularly. It works just fine.

Not only was Deus' clip designed by Pinto, but the clip is reversed on their HF elliptical coil for no particular reason that I can see.

I’ve broken a hand full of the stock ones. Detecting Doodads is the way to go!

Thanks for the feedback! I think that I'll go ahead and place an order with Detecting Doodads. I had "a battle" with my charging clip the other night and I just know that it's not long for this earth based upon how my first one broke.

Been using the orange DooDads clip for a while now. Much better than the Deus design.
