Well Ram, it looks like you are buying some parts and setting up some boat stuff tomorrow then?
The only parts I need to buy is new leaf springs for the trailer as they have severely settled. I am planning on removing one this weekend to take it to a trailer shop to match them up and get them ordered. The boat itself is ready to go and runs awesome. I'll look to see if I have a picture of it to post.

Well I can't really tell that much, but she is hauling a lot of beer. That makes her EXTREMELY HOT lolol.

Judging by the looks was the tank buried in the center of the foam? And the rear chairs were not attached to the stringers so they were a softer ride? Was the floor all fiberglass or was it marine grade plywood with a fiber shell ?

Sorry about the questions. I get kinda focused sometimes when I feel the need. Can't wait to see the pics RAM!

One more question? you keep that 4 stroke mounted there in case you need it SADS? It looks kind of heavy to move though. My luck I would drop it in the ocean. Then the Beer girl would run out of beer and yell at me.

As you can see in the picture the tires are really close to the fenders as the leaf springs are fatigued really, really bad.

Great photo Ram.

Dave does this photo tell you anything about not dropping motors overboard??

image-3012483706.jpg

Seriously it is heavy and as long as it's not absolutely pounding out there and I am on my own I can manage ok, also there is no rush to get it on the transom. It's not as if I'm going anywhere ha ha.....

Ram,

Just to the right of the black hose in the red hull photo is a whitish square. The trailer I bought had two wooden squares supporting the boat there ( before changing it to long rails) and I think it got weakened.

There should be bulkheads port to starboard to stop that .

Makes sense, are you going to modify the design? Can you make supports out of laminated fiberglass?

Dave,

There is a new substance just like the scratchy foam they put flowers in to stand them up ( in UK it's called Oasis and is dark green)

It's super light and provides a platform to mold fiberglass around, pictures to come when we do it.....

I see it now. The great thing about glass is it is readily reparable.

Nice. I had to put mine out to pasture a few years ago. Just too much wood rot. Whoever thought fiberglass over wood was a good idea was an idiot.

That's where I'm at... my 16' tri-hull isn't anything special, but it's paid for and we've had a lot of fun in it, but the floors are going... I either need to sell it cheap to someone who who can do the repair or just stop ***** footing around and do it my self. My fiberglassing knowledge is minimal, so I have been hesitant to take on a big project. Plus I can't make up my mind on what to replace the rotten wood with... Go cheap plywood and sell it soon, Marine plywood, or go all out and pour a composite floor.
