Ain't deeper dives and nitrogen loading a gas?....and congrats!! I know I wanna take a nap after a double dip if I'm on 21% and it's deeper than 70' or so... That being said...I can do 4 a day if I run eanx...does make a differance in how I feel...ymmv.

Dive safe and congrats again!!

But did you have a good time, Boatlode?

Nitrox is the greatest thing ever for doing work underwater, especially for those of us over about 40.

The dives on Sunday were great. They were on Governor's Riverwalk, four freighters sunk end-to-end in 90 feet of water off Palm Beach to form an artificial reef. Visibility was 50 - 60 feet, lots of fish and marine life. Current was strong, they were drift dives. Distance from drop-off point to pick-up was about half a mile.

Clarification - this was my advanced open water certification. It included deep dive, navigation, wreck, search & recovery, and drift dive. It did not cover nitrox. Nitrox certification is a separate course I intend to take next - its just study, lecture, and written exam. No dives required.

Yup. My basic open water certification was in 1975. I figured it was about time to get my advanced LOL.

I never have trouble equalizing. If I have a cold, I don't dive. Did you have something going on with your sinuses (cold, allergies, etc)?

Actually no...
I have always had trouble with an EQ over 50ish...
Usually I EQ once and done...
When approaching 50 I start having to EQ a couple times... and so on...
At 90 I can have trouble EQ;n
BUT...
I am a master diver.
But not really a deep depth diver.
Never liked it anyway.
In fact I hate it.
Whats weird is... I am naturally one with water...
Growing up I never liked any depths I could not free dive and push off..

I guess its all the empty space in my head :P

30ish feet of depth... and I am at home.
