    Enviormental restoration

During the permit application process for salvage; is restoration of the salvage site a requirement? Would blow holes have to be filled? What considerations are taken to preserve coral reefs? At the completion of an operation is the operator ultimately responsible for the condition of the site?

The state and feds (Army Corp of Engineers) will dictate what you can and can't do based on the habitat. Nature fills blow holes in short order.

    Re: Enviormental restoration

along with the permitting process, each vessel on site has to have hull insurance in case you run aground and destroy or damage a reef.or hurt a oyster or wormrock.seems kinda absurd that the state requires this.if it happens, the state collects the money from the insurance co.an of course theres nothing they can do to restore the reef or wormrock or bring that oyster back to life.(just more hoops to jump thru an pay out more money)also dont run over and kill sea grass.thats a big no no.a hurricane can come in and destroy everything.i guess acts of nature doesnt count.only human error.
Millions of dollars of Spanish treasure await those who would dare brave the eye of the hurricane.
