Re: Eyebeam detector applies for Randi challenge

I have demonstrated the "Cloud Popping" phenomena many times. Once, I remember when my partner and I had two ladies on board for an afternoon cruise in the Florida Keys. My partner asked me to perform a cloud pop for our guests. I asked one of the ladies to pick a cloud that was surrounded by others, so as to demonstrate that not all of them would be affected. As I finished with the concentration, and the selected cloud evaporated, the other lady turned to me, and with a stern look on her face said: " Put it back".
" Him cheat him friend of his last guinea,
Him kill both friar and priest- O dear!
Him cut de t'roat of piccaninny,
    Bloody, bloody buccaneer."

Excellent posts. Agree with Judy. Keep it coming. Love the contributions made and further research implicitly suggested.

On an aside, it reminds me of a great love poem from the greatest non-recognised love poet of them all ('The Flea' is like an earthy poem written by naive angels). But here I'm referring to John Donne's conceptualisation of the "eyebeam", something which fascinated me sufficiently to use it in a poem myself. (I'm sure old Johnboy would be rightly chuffed). John's is here http://www.poetry.com/LovePoems/lovepoem.asp?id=286

Abbé Mermet also theorised the existence of the mental ray but was unable to establish which direction was primary: - http://books.google.ie/books?id=2TAZ...sult#PPA148,M1

Dr Rupert Sheldrake, famous and lately maverick English scientist (morphic fields and lately for being stabbed by a crazy, Stateside I might add !!) also delves deep into the phenomenon of the feeling of being stared at http://www.sheldrake.org/papers/Staring/. Kelly Howell on Theatre of the Mind (http://www.theatreofthemind.com/podcasts.asp?podcast=48) also has an interesting podcast with Dr Sheldrake who has done much interesting work vis a vis morphic resonance and also psychic pets (ensuring he gets the scientific loonie bin award, despite many of us knowing our pets sense something we cannot as yet classify and cannot relegate to mere animal body language or habitual training).

Interesting idea. Does anyone know if he's built an actual working model of this device, or is it's concept limited to the patent at this point?
We all know there's no such thing as a "hunted out" location.  Let's stop using that phrase to describe a park out of which you just dug a pile of coins!  Obviously that particular place wasn't "hunted out", right?
