The horizontal "drag" on an L-rod is what you mainly feel in the side to side motion of the rod when you remove friction. The rod is surrounded by a cloud or what some call a flame. It resembles an alcohol burner flame. When the rod moves, this flame follows the rod and as you move it faster, the flame starts to stretch out and trail the movement of the rod. If you go too fast the flame seperates from the rod and you can feel there is less drag. The horizontal wave is always present but it is easily blocked by objects. It is called the Magnetic wave because it works like a compass.

I'm curious about this paragraph, Mike. A cloud or a flame? What do you mean? Where does the flame come from? Is it visible?

What is the flame? I can only say there is some energy field. Is it some kind of ion discharge? Maybe. The Holy Spirit? I don't know. It is similar to what some people have reported (tongues of fire). Divining, sacred energy...

But what has created the energy field, or where is it coming from? I'm trying to understand what it is you're seeing. If it is an ion discharge, what are the ions discharging from?
