What method of pinpointing works best for you?
What method do you like best? I use the 4-direction to box in the object for field work. I read once where someone posted on the golden cross method. I don't remember what it was about. If you know something about it please post. I know each will be different because of the place searching; caves, homes and so on.

Hi Tim,
Working to finish my report on RT Examiner and so far the box method is indeed what appears to be the best method I found with it. You actually reduce the searched area to the point where only a circle is left. Then you proceed direct over the target.
Regards.

depends on the material buried it seems...possibly in regards to the amount of leaching into the soil the target does....at least thats my theory.......gldhntr

There's a procedure of pressing certain keys on the calculator to avoid ringings. In a simulated situation done according to the manual apparently it worked, but as I only got the RT recently and I'm still performing tests, I can't tell if it works in the field yet.

Interesting...
Doesn't rings give false indications where the center of target is?
Using the examiner with the ring off procedure gives a clear center indication.

Thats true, but first you have to know which area is producing the rings. False targets also produce secondary rings off the primary ring from the target.
But I believe mental dowsers do not have the problem of rings.
