Camp Sites

A shot in the dark here... has anyone located camp sites through dowsing? Specifically, has anyone heard of map dowsing that traces the movements of a group (say regiment size), and is able to "dowse" the spots where they stopped to camp overnight? Or, when knowing the movement (shown on the map), been able to pinpoint camp sites? Thank you.

Hey starsplitter….My experience with map dowsing is that I can only put a person in the area. Yes I have been right on the spot a few times. When looking for old camp sites I find it helpful to bait my rods with ashes from camp fires in that area. You find the fire ring you know that any of the relics that are there will be near by. As for tracking the movements I think it can be done but have never tried it. Please put a map on here and let us see what we can do..Art
