Need Help on Old Spanish Fort

Hello all, I am trying to pinpoint the location of an old Spanish fort site close to this river. It was said to be on a hill not far from a ford on the river. It was also said that a lead or silver mine was close too. Any help on the fort or the mine would be really appreciated thanks.

Hey good eyes TexasTee, however if it is I think it may be a little too big for a fort. I could be wrong but the pasture in the lower right hand side of the picture is about 20+ acres. I will certainly look into this location though. Thanks again for your help.

    Hello Easttexasdigger,
Dowsing has revealed the following items in or in vicinity of the green circles:
    I) Lead outcrop in mineral matrix.
II and IV) Small gold coin cache in wood box, 1 foot deep, about 1/2 lb. coin weight each cache.
    III) Fort ruins/remains
    V) Small amount of gold placer 1/2lb-3/4lb. in creek bank to about 1 foot deep.

    Thanks for posting your picture,
    Jon

Actually, this site has already proven itself before. In the 1950's a family friend uncovered several Spanish spurs, musket balls, and bayonets. He had them proudly displayed in his house until someone broke in one night and stole everything. This man died long before I was ever thought of but my dad hunted fox with him and says that it's a very accurate tale, but as to the exact spot they were found,....he doesn't know.
