Someone found another old thread with a comment Dell Winders made about shipwreck treasure locations.

http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/shipwrecks/292085-older-spanish-shipwrecks-3.html

In my opinion, what researchers fail to consider is the location of the shore line during the time period of their research. During the 1500's, 1700's the shoreline extended much farther out than the present day shore line. Wrecks that are now found a half mile off shore may have wrecked close, or washed up on the beach of the earlier shore line making it easy for the Indians to salvage it's cargo and relocate it. Makes perfect sense now, why you hear treasure hunters complain about not finding any shipwreck gold on Florida beaches. Gold is heavy, meaning it travels less in hurricanes, original beach is out a half mile.

Bob Lanham with his brother Bruce dove 100yr old Toa Japanese hardhat in Kalama River May 22 2020. The water was still really cold, as you would expect. I never met Bob in person yet, but we have over the years, had continuous email exchange for 2-3 years at times. I think Bob and Bruce were introduced to LRLs about 1987 by other successful shipwreck hunters (who have all since passed over the bar). This video is short, just see Bruce going down into the water..

This photo looks like Bruce holding a gold coin (or coins) he just had brought up.

Post it in the shipwreck board (if you haven't already).
