Anyone see on the Yahoo article today about the suns numerous solar flares? Does this mean that it is a good time to be dowsing What are your thoughts?

I don't check on sun activity. But, before ever seeing this thread, was already dowsing today and getting good results. I can "feel it" when things are right.
Yes..Max is right..When the solar storms are big the rods will work a lot better. But if you are a Dowser you know that you can dowse all the time. His methods are a lot different than most of us. That is his right to only Dowse at those time. Myself and most other Dowsers are not going to wait for 6 years between Dowsing cycles…I made one of Max’s rods and every time I used it the only thing that happed was a massive head ache… …I will just have to settle for not being able to see underground.. It is now 2011...tonight, starting this evening, solar flares have emitted enough to make northern light displays to be seen in Canada. All the deep snow is disappearing nearly overnight. It feels more like spring is sprung or springing forth!
ETD, there is misunderstanding on this topic. I suppose it has something to do with which techniques you are using. Remote Viewing books plainly state the strong solar activity is detrimental. One book says the speed over 600 km/sec. These results are from scientific studies by the govt. over many years. Now, you can still believe whatever you like. My experience has been that things like iron become very troublesome when the earth's magnetic field is shifting. I'm not saying this is an absolute. You still might be able to get good results from time to time. My opinion is some people are intentionally giving people the false information about this, and others unintentionally.

I don't really have any opinions of my own about it. Some dowsers on the forum here, insist it (sun activity) is the main factor in dowsing success. My own opinion, if I was to have one...is that a combination of factors are involved, including one's physical and mental health.
There is a scientific treatise promulgated by Dr. Edwin May and James Spottiswoode called:
Anomalous Cognition Effect Size: Dependence on Sidereal Time and Solar Wind Parameters
An association between geomagnetic field fluctuations and AC effect size has been
observed for trials which occur near 13h LST. This association has also been seen in one
parameter, the solar wind speed, which is known to affect the GMF. Finally, a possible
identification of solar modulation in the effect size data itself has been found. These
observations are consistent with the thesis that some component of solar activity, which
correlates with solar wind and GMF variations, is modulating the amount of AC observed
in laboratory experiments. It is not yet possible to determine what exactly this parameter
is, or even where it is acting. One assumption is that the physical conditions at the
location of the subject, or receiver, are crucial to performance. But this need not logically
be so: conditions along the path through space-time followed by the AC information
could also affect the propagation. Certainly if the mechanism of AC information transfer
is at all analogous to that of the other senses, this should be expected. The great
difficulty in the case of AC is that the location of the signal source is unknown, and
therefore also the path followed by the information.
In a database of 2,879 free-response anomalous cognition (AC) trials, correlation between the geomagnetic index and AC, an increased correlation was found for trials that occurred at 13 hours Local Sidereal Time (LST). A subset of this data for which solar wind speed measurements were available showed a similar correlation configuration with a negative correlation peak near 13h LST. The power spectrum of the effect sizes showed a peak at 13.8 days period, which is close to twice the solar rotation rate, a period typical of solar wind modulations. These observations are consistent with the thesis that AC performance is modulated by a parameter which varies with solar activity.

My own research showed sun spot and flare activity messed up my LRL system. In fact, after 10 am the sun interfered so much with the LRL signal (clairvoyant could no longer see the signal line) that the electronic dowsing system was useless. After 3pm the signal levels would come back up so we could detect.
