    Rods

I never thought much about how I hold my Dowsing Rods. This is how I hold them. I place the top part of the handle in the crease of the big knuckle of my index finger about a 1/2 inch from the bend of the rod. I place the lower part of the rod in the crease that goes all the way thought my hand. This where most of the pressure of the weight of the rod will be. I close my hand lightly with my thumb touching the nail of my index finger.

I have received a few e-mails about making swing handles on the rods..When I want to make rods for someone that is having trouble I go to the Idea store that is called ACE Hardware…A half hour of looking at all the rubber grommets, nylon sleeves and the assortment brass parts I always come up with a solution

I have made rods from all kinds of metals from 1/8 inch to ¼ inch. I always end up with my old 3/16 inch brass rods…

I am a firm believer in baited rods..The best way is to put the bait on the end of the rod using liquid black tape
I am sure that some of you have some good idea’s so lets keep it going.…Art

    Re: Rods

Art, I see some rods without handles. Last couple years I've used bronze rods that don't have handles and really helped me get going. Mine are light rods, various length and bends. The coins are just added for looks.

    Re: Rods

Hey Mr Jody..Some photo’s are new and some are old. Some of the Rods came with stuff I have bought. I have also been forced by my health to change my hand and arm position. This post will give you information on how I determine the length of my rods. Many have told me that the length does not matter..For me it does make a big difference where the target is marked…Art
