    Dowser help for search team

Well, dowsers...if you want to help on this one, give me a PM for a better map to dowse.

The expedition team researched a legend, must have studied a Jesuit document...they found it though, at least the huge cave entrance with many tunnels, take a look. The main treasure is supposed to be jewels hidden in 2 locations.

Re: Dowser help for search team

Rather than handle everything by email, here are some larger size maps for dowsing. The zoomed in maps don't quite match the zoomed out one (Is_CXO1-2). From my dowsed hits it seems that the actual location moves SE as you zoom in.

The large white arrow icon placemarks mark the cave hits before getting in closer. Identify all entrances, both open and concealed. If only an underground entrance, specify that too. Also any gold/silver/jewels. It was supposed to be in 2 locations, not sure if that was for the jewels or everything.

Re: Dowser help for search team

Okiedowser (the map is zoomed in more), that arrow is the one I didn't have caches for but marked an underground entrance, which could indicate a man made tunnel, connecting entrance, or a new branch of a cave. The GE map was made in the old version of GE before I upgraded. The new version doesn't have such a detailed coordinate grid...coordinates are blacked out.

When I search for tunnel or cave caches, don't usually find buried caches or vice versa. The other 2 arrows, I've got those cave caches marked. According to the Jesuit document and maps, there was a smaller cave with a rock placed over the entrance. This cave is supposed to contain "big gold & jewels" as specified by the Jesuits. I don't know what they mean by big gold. Big cache or large size like ingots? Anyway, the treasure was divided up into 2 locations. Southwest of these arrows, past the last location there is where I get buried caches. I'm not sure if they be pirate or jesuit. If you keep going SW there is a bay which appears to have a beach. No doubt pirates would have used it since much of the island is rocky.

    Hi Red_desert,
My dowse revealed that in all pictures the white circle is a gold attraction and the green circle is a gold attraction and a cave/void.
The yellow rectangle area is a prominent gold attraction with some emeralds.
    Thanks for posting your pictures,
    Jon

Re: Dowser help for search team

Thanks Jon, you might want to check and see if there are any natural gemstones in the ground. I didn't mention it, but the team leader learned from talking to natives on the island...one of them once went into the forest chasing a wild pig. He came to a pit lined with black and white stones. Also said there was mechanised equipment that can pump water. I think what the island native was trying to describe is some type of remains of mining equipment. The main land or region the island is off of does produce emeralds. I did check myself, belive it or not, seemed to be some kind of stones in the ground around the caves...unless they are caches, I'll have to check again.

    Hi Red_desert,
You're welcome. I enjoyed this dowse. I was able to use almost all of my dowsing tools.
I forgot to mention that I do agree with what came through for your dowse. My first dowse responses locked over your cave/gold locations so I masked them off and redowsed again for caves/voids/gold.
I did pick up on some emeralds but they seem to be too small to be pocket deposits and felt more like they were associated with the gold locations.
I'll do a complete natural/cached gemstone dowse and see what comes up. I'll check for diamonds, emeralds, rubies/sapphire.
    Jon

Re: Dowser help for search team

Ok Jon, you'll be glad to see this. I went back over my hits on the maps emailed to the search team. Actually, the one group had searched for 2 years and just now learned about another treasure hunter group looking for the same treasure. It seems that both are working together and joining in the effort.

Okiedowser has dial-up Internet still, so he had to email his results. Once a thread has a lot of photos, takes time to get pages to load enough to make a post.

I started in the area SW of the caves where caches are located, don't have maps posted of this because they seem to be buried rather than in caves. The buried caches start at placemark white pin Is_LG1X (bottom of map). Jon, you have 1 hit near it, where they begin. I'm posting one of Okiedowser's that confirms your hits on the middle cave arrow. Anyway, I started in the southwest area and finished up at the northeast cave. By this time had plenty of hits to send the team. So, didn't really finish marking things out. Okiedowser found caches around the extreme NE or past the last entrances. I think both SW and NE cache sites the Jesuits used the last caves for a reference point for locating them.

I had similar hits for the middle cave. Later checking my entrance hits, discovered that both open and concealed openings at the same spot. Okiedowser is getting something very similar.

Here are the other 2 maps Okiedowser emailed. I was getting similar hits, even though didn't have everything marked.

Thanks Rockhound. My dowsing results here, which were emailed to the search team before they found the 1st cave (see photos in above comment). The cave runs through where your hits are...again coordinates blacked out.

I hope this helps them to zero in on some gemstones of value. Seems to be a good location for natural gemstones and other valuable minerals. rockhound

Yes, there also is a Jesuit map plus a Jesuit document to back up the gold and jewel caches. The searchers only gave to me some important parts of the document. I'm hoping to eventually get the whole document to better understand the treasures.

Re: Dowser help for search team

    Hi Red_desert,
I'm reposting my original pictures with new symbology for the gemstone locations dowsing provided.
    Red x: Corundum (ruby/sapphire)
    Purple x: Diamonds
    Green x: Emeralds
    Line connecting the x's: Vein
The emerald locations in the yellow rectangle is a combination mining/cache area.
In all my years of dowsing I have not come upon a location this full of wealth as this location.
I believe the value is astronomical for whomever can get in there and recover it.
    Thanks for posting your pictures,
    Jon

Re: Dowser help for search team

Yes, I can agree with you Jon, on "full of wealth" because the Jesuits did seem to have plenty of it. Just from what I've seen recovered off of Florida, the galleon wrecks...I'm sure they had more treasure than available caves to stuff with loot. Then pirates inhabited the island later also. Rocks below the surface of the water off the rocky shoreline east of the caves caused many shipwrecks over the years. Probably would be caches in the area if any salvaging was done.
