Local Civil War Cache Legend - What do the Dowsers say?
Local legend suggests large Civil War era cache in this area - interested in what dowsing may reveal?

If this legend is true, the bullion value would be close to $2M today - not to mention the historical value of what is said to be buried. This is on private land, maybe time to get a contract together?

Well, I don't know about that...might be just a simple gold coin cache in an iron kettle. Can you provide a map which takes in a larger area?

Hi there,
I'm not sure if you use dowsing equipment. If you do can you visit the site a few times and do a field check w/o drawing attention to yourself? Perhaps stay within the right of way of the north/south road near the trees? and check the one location revealed by dowsing from Red_desert, Okiedowser and myself.

Yep! That's the plan.

That would make sense as a large portion of this cache is silverware; there is supposedly $50k (1860's) in gold coin and more in silver coin.

Thanks!
Great dowsing work from everyone!
I think this is the first time 4 dowsers picked up on the same location! (so far)
That is very promising.

Re: Local Civil War Cache Legend - What do the Dowsers say?
Ok I checked for
gold = red
Iron = yellow Not sure what it is but was very large signal. I had to block it to see the iron at the gold location.
Gold and Iron = red and yellow
silver = Purple May be in house or very near.
brass = blue
I don't know anything about the layout of this place other than what deepsecerts stated. I don't know if the gold is in an iron box but the combined elements hit the same place.
Hope you find something!
