    Looking for an old Inn

Hello folks. I have good information that there was an Inn and a river ford at this location. The area in question is the forested land south of the river up to where the T intersection is on the road. Where you see the white #14 is a private residence tucked into the woods. His lot is not large at all. So the area I'm interested in is north of his house, along the road, in the forested area, right up to the river.

IF someone has time I would appreciate your thoughts on the area. This is close to my house and took some investigating to narrow to this location. I will be heading into the area, MD in hand shortly.

    Thanks!

Re: Looking for an old Inn

    Hello,
Dowsing revealed in the blue circles coins and some of the blue circles gave indications of small caches rather than individual coins. White circle is the old inn area. Green circles canadian paper money in a metal box, glass jars present also.
    Thanks for posting your picture,
    Jon

Thank you for your response Jon. I know you guys are busy but I was getting worried because no one replied LOL

You really think I may find targets related to what you have detected here?

Is anyone else looking at this picture? I will be heading to the site this coming weekend

I feel there are individual coins in that area. If the site has high grass and what not, then it will be harder to find them. I guess i would concentrate on a more open or bare patch of ground and see what happens. I think the Garrett ace detector is good for coins, not sure if you can operate it in all metal mode or not just to get more depth, I think that would be helpful. As regards the paper money, that could be a wallet laying out in the grass or metal/glass containers like what I felt during the dowse, buried near the riverbank and may require a detector with more sensitivity and depth capabilities.
