Probably 6-7 ft down, jt was the biggest hit. Mostly all seemed of Roman stuff, ofter smaller most likely individual coins or other objects. As for value, hard to say, smaller coins/treasure can be worth a lot if you get the right type.
I need to correct this post (for accuracy on statistics).......later dowsing showed I think was about 7-9 feet to the top, then 20-21 feet down to the treasure, which agrees with what a local dowser said dowsing at this site once, in the exact same spot.

Hi again, well thanks for reposting but to me they are zoomed in too far causing them to be blurry, I'd prefer an aerial zoomed out as that would make the picture clearer and sharper I hope.Jon
Jon, it won't really appear very clear, because you're looking at a mountain side up close.

Art, I want to confirm your hit, arrow pointing down here. There is an old well which is full of rocks, it is supposed to go down to a storage room, connected to a sealed cave.

Art, here is an illustration of what the sealed cave & storage room should look like. It was opened back about 150 years ago. What isn't known is whether the cave was used by those people, to make into a burial tomb or if they were seeking treasure and removed the valuables. A smaller treasure could have been put in the well to be as a decoy, make treasure seekers think they found it. The cave/room itself is more than 1,000 years old.

The room is estimated from carvings on the rock, to be 12 feet high (not 120 ft). A mistake was made in converting meters to feet.

PS-this site is on private land.

Yeah, I know what you mean. If I had realized it was a sealed cave/storage room from the beginnig, I'd have considered that it will have a strong signal, especially the storage area. These might hold a signal like treasure, even after gold/silver is removed. Possibly my X hit the storage space.

I've checked an assortment of photos of the site, from different angles, from close up and farther away. Somehow it still seems something is there, produces a really good signal.

On the right side of the photo with the well marked, there is a carved stone. The photo edge is on the line across the rock. Left of the line is carved what should be the area of the photo.

A good close up of the carvings.

Here is a close up, not sure but thought it must be the rock in the lower right of photo.

It's hard to tell by looking, exactly where this carved rock fits into the work area. I did get a signal marked in red, maybe just a little bit on right side of it, must be close to either a passage way or one of the openings. The signal seems to be from beyond this marked spot, rather than down or below.
