Hi everyone. Im very interested it testing the waters on pendulum dowsing.
Ive done quite a bit of watching videos, and tutorials, but im always left wondering......
Are there certain types of pendulums for certain types of dowsing? Im primarily interested in map dowsing for buried treasure ,(silver, gold coins, caches)
Ive heard for water dowsing, willow limbs work the best as an example of what im asking.

The material that the pendulum is made of is not as important as the technique involved. I have even seen people using a plumb bob as a dowsing pendulum, although I have not tried it myself. I use two types, one is made of brass and looks similar to a plumb bob, the other type is a quartz crystal with a hole in it and hanging from a stainless steel chain. Both work good, but each has a specific goal in which they were designed for. The brass one will locate any type of electrically conductive metal. The crystal one is used for gems, diamonds and other valuable minerals. In map dowsing I use the brass one most. Good Luck. rockhound
