help with l rod for gold its fascinating!

hi there! theres this guy on youtube that made an L rod that detects only gold and im fascinated! for my bad luck the guy speaks Arabic and i dont understand. that i understood is that you need 2 copper pipes, 2 wires, i think mercury and sulfur powder, and a battery. i m not sure about the mercury and sulfur i tried to translate some comments on the video. if you guys know please let me know. thanks! by the way its a 3-4 part video.

You can make the rods out of metal coat hanger. Make the handle 4 inches and the long part 18 inches. Take a gold ring or any gold and hold it in your hand or tape it to the rod. You have a gold only rod

Rod like this can be baited with anything. I have used black powder to find an old closed mine shaft. I used the same rod to find an old mining camp using ashes from local wood...Art
