I di a bit of searching and I could not find any info on an acupuncture point on the side of my thumb. So I am left to conclude it has more effect on the point on my middle finger. Added to this is that my thumb is not making a whole lot of contact with my index finger (wrong polarity). I've always seen/read (or never noticed otherwise) that you are supposed to use the thumb and index finger for a pendulum, but Christopher Hills says that is wrong for most people. Same for L-rods. He says most people just grab the rod with all their fingers and this shorts out the energy. Robert Massey says each finger is opposite polarity to the next one, so your thumb, middle, and little finger are the same polarity. Al Rossmiller said you should not even touch the fingers together on your left (receiving) hand. He held the rod with his thunb up, and Fran Nixon said the same thing. She said you should not let your arm touch the truck of your body or even your clothing.

I love the fact that you bothered to do research about acupuncture, but swallow every other far-fetched bit of drivel hook, line and sinker.....
