There has been no rain in the past about week and yet the water flows on the main rivers are going up, now that's odd. I wonder what could be causing that? YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS Hot Weather has arrived! Now Just How Hot will it get? How quickly will the snow melt? We will just have to wait and see.

Yeah...it's just snow run off because the temp increased so fast.

i was thinking the same thing
tempting to go to the claim with the girls and a camcorder
i wonder what the North fork Yuba looks like right now, its a four hour (one way) drive for me
and this Saturday rain, wonder if it will be a warm rain
last time it almost took out the Downieville bridges, it did take out a lot of HWY 49 i think it was 97/98

A fast melt down is what I'm afraid of as there is just way too much snow in the mountains and all that water would likely cause some problems to severe problems. But it could make things intersting along the river banks............63bkpkr

I believe the worse damage was in 1986 when parts of hiway 49 disappeared and i believe Interstate #5(?) Moved a lot of materials around that year.

63bkpkr I'll trade you some cooler wet weather for some of that heat. Up here on the north Or coast it nothing but cold and wet. Haven't even been up any of the rivers or creeks cause, aside from catching my death, I know they are running high.

Enjoy the warm and we'll keep everything crossed the rivers don't get too high.
