You can high bank below the Friant bridge, below millerton damn no claims there, where the old broken parts of bridge are standing still, instream or you must have a holding area for water if your up on the bank. San Joaquin is claimed up from Reddinger to Kerkoff or vice versa no motorized equipment to sluice is allowed anymore no highbanking they shut it down best they could forestry rangers up there SUCK there totally against us up there enviro rangers so watch out.
recent mine photos are hunters valley road in bear valley west of mariposa , hydraulic area is McClure lake going towards coulterville, found my first nugget up there metal detecting in hydraulic area.

I have traveled and prospected in the great state of CA. Yes that is correct, I said great from a geographical and nature standpoint. Unfortunately, some of the people and their political stances toward prospecting, hunting, fishing, etc sucks.
There seems to be four distinct groups of people out there.
1. Prospectors/Hunters Etc. = Hard working People that enjoy and actually use the outdoors. Tend to vote Conservative for the freedom.
2. Homeless = I found that many of them have selected their lifes style and really do not like to work. Tend to vote liberal for the handouts.
3. Illeagals = Nuff Said. Tend to vote liberal for the handouts and anti-deportation stance.
4. Liberals = Old hippies, enviromental wackys, marxist, communist, socialist types, that works predominately in education and government. Always vote Democrat.
Number one is far out-numbered by 2, 3 & 4, which has resulted in number one's lost of the freedom to farm, ranch, prospect or mine for gold.

i just got word the in Oregon the blm/state patrol/and local sheriff are citing/harrassing claim owners and if you dont provide ID theyll arrest you! it maybe a good idea if your up there to carry a copy of your claim papers with you to stop this harrassment! and the blm/fs is insisting a 14 day max. limit on your camping even if your a claim owner!

What happens to our hobby of prospecting and lifestyle if we cannot change it in the election booths?
I do know that I will no longer be easy to find.

Hey GC, that might be an answer. First, get hard to find. Second, dress and act homeless. Third, if do do have a confrontation, start spouting the wacko
manifesto stuff; the man will probably drive you into town and sign you up for welfare!!
