    Alabama Dredging

Went to a creek in central Alabama yesterday with my friend Kevin. This spot is a local swimming/partying/drinking spot so we stay away on weekendsnds. We cut a big tree which was across the creek pulled our dredges down through some rapids to a pool. Started 15 feet from the bank and went down to bedrock( 3 feet) and cut a trench up to, and into the bank as far as I could reach. Saw fine gold in the cons but haven't cleaned then yet.

i may be down to Bama in a month or two to do some dredgeing....another member is wanting to do a club outting there sometime and wants to check out the Alabama Gold Camp. i was there several years ago when Lanny and Mike were there and had fun.id like to share this fun with them someday!the wildfires chased me out of the mountains in Wyoming and the heat is keeping me out of most other places right now.

The Flag was put there by the weekend crowd. Also had US flags in the trees at the camping area. I am planning to go back tomorrow or Thursday and video the area.

You do when it's a barely moving creek/river with water temps over 90 degrees! I did that once last year here in OK.

My pool temp is usually in the 90s. Even back in early June the "creek" was a bathtub sized puddle of uck water in the middle of a gravel bed.

Sure appreciate the pics though. Keep'm coming!
