Welcome to tnet - I think the reason you haven't had replies is there was a discussion back two or three months ago about the Brazos, and most everone agreed
there's not enough gold there to make it worthwhile. But for hobby recreation, you can't beat being out there! Good Luck.

Don't know how much gold you might find, but in this area, you will find a lot of lead. We've been shooting at the Brazos since '71. Also, depending where you are, there are a lot of fossils in the bank as well. I have seen several groups from Houston climbing the banks searching.
