I found a decent pump and motor but request info if possible.
Honda GX120 motor with a HIDEL 2 inch pump.
specs say 158 GPM with 98 Ft. head pressure.

1# would this make a decent dredge pump/motor?
2# would this make a good highbanker pump/motor?
3# what size dredge could i run with this?
4# what size highbanker could i run with this?
5# I know honda is good but never heard of HEIDEL, any good?

thank you its appreciated

3.5 horse power engine...could run a 10" hb or 2.5" dredge at under 15' of hose... Wouldn't be ideal for a dredge but be fine for hb as long as your closer to water.

Why wouldn't this be ok for a dredge? The pressure?
I ask because like every other yahoo here I'm hoping to make a piece of equipment.
I was hoping to make a highbanker but with a dredge attachment.
A friend of mine has 2 of these and he will sell them to me cheaply. Could I run 2 of these pumps with a double jet log and run a 4 inch dredge?
I've been looking at the Keene website and found highbanker conversions to make them a jet flare dredge. NOT FLOATING but highbanker sluice style
Thoughts please...

It would be enough to run a 2.5" dredge maybe a 3"... For a 4" dredge you need more flow and more hp so maybe if you use two BUT it will kill you in gas consumption. For 150 bucks you can get a 2" clear water from harbor freight that would run a 4" dredge...granted at almost full throttle and less the 15' of hose.
Ask your self this...would you only drain half the oil in your car and fill it back to full with new oil? Why do *&%( half assed?
