I built a portable micro sluice system, which breaks down into the storage container for using it in the house and ease of storage. It was nice to get out and cool off. I ran the pump for only about 1 1/2 hours, so I used the expanded aluminum over vortex matting. If I plan on shoveling for over 4 hours, I use the expanded aluminum over minors moss, over the vortex matting. I don't bother with cleanups, as the time I save can go into working a larger amount of concentrates.

It's always a balance of time, involving shoveling, amount of concentrates and removing the flour gold from the concentrates.
